Sir Seretse Khama International Airport is located about north of the city of Gaborone. The airport is named after Sir Seretse Khama, the first President of Botswana airport was opened in 1984 and offers large capacity to handle regional and international traffic and has the largest passenger movement in the country, with one hour flights from Johannesburg and two hours flights from Harare.
